A Russian influencer created a veritable volcanic eruption after combining baking soda and 10,000 liters of Coca-Cola in a feat that took four years to complete. Footage of the explosive experiment currently boasts more than six million views on YouTube.
“I will spend more than 700,000 rubles [over $9,000] for the video today,” vlogger Maxim Monakhov, better known as Mamix, says into the camera.
In the resultant clip uploaded August 21, Mamix and his cronies use a crane to dump bucketfuls of the soda into a custom-built, pressurized tank labeled “Coca-Cola.”
The would-be Pop-penheimers are then seen adding the baking soda via a pulley system, before running away in slow motion like a scene from a “Mission Impossible” movie.
Needless to say, the volatile combo causes the soda to volcano out of the vat in a towering brown plume while dramatic music plays in the background.
