The forests of Southern California caught fire, affecting more than 18,000 acres of forest

California News – Like last year, California has started burning in the fire this year. Between 7 a.m. and about 6 miles north of Los Angeles, a lake fire and a dangerous heat wave that caused blackouts in parts of the state burned 18,361 acres by 7 p.m. PDT Sunday according to the Angeles National Forest. It has destroyed 12 structures and 21 reconstructions. More than 4,500 structures are threatened by the fire.

The fire is 12% contained with no known cause

No injuries have been reported. “It continues to move through really heavy fuels where there is no fire history, so the fuels are very weak,” said Matt Brown, an Angeles National Forest fire behavior analyst…
