Donny van de Beek has been at the centre of a debate at Man Utd but started their excellent Champions League win over RB Leipzig.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hit back at critics of the way he’s handled Manchester United’s new signings this season.
The United boss has received flak from fans and pundits about Donny van de Beek’s playing time, with the Dutchman yet to make a start in the Premier League for his new club. Edinson Cavani is also awaiting a start of any kind, while Alex Telles featured in United’s 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain but has been sidelined with coronavirus since.
Solskjaer had previously seen near-instant success with signings like Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire but admitted this batch of summer signings need time to bed in.
“First of all, I’m not worried about any credit that I’m getting or not getting [for signing players],” Solskjaer said. “That’s not my job to get credit or not for that.
