The grieving family of a severely disabled young boy who appeared on TV show DIY SOS have said they ‘desperately want answers’ after he died alone.
Darren Hudson says his son Ollie, 18, was admitted to hospital following stomach problems and kept in overnight on his own because of lockdown restrictions.
But Darren was getting ready to visit him the next morning when he received a devastating call at 11am on April 16.
“I thought it was going to be something to do with his diet. I turned up and they said ‘unfortunately, he has passed away,'” Darren told the Daily Mail.
The family has been told the death was due to SUDEP – the sudden, unexpected death of someone with epilepsy.
