Liverpool are looking to secure a permanent transfer move for young striker Rhian Brewster before the window closes on October 5
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has reiterated his hope the club can bring in a striker before the transfer window closes – with Liverpool frontman Rhian Brewster top of the wanted list.
Wilder explained that no transfer is not guaranteed to happen, with the Bramall Lane club stalling on a deal for Brewster, though the Blades boss is keen to sign the Reds starlet on a permanent deal and has held talks with Jurgen Klopp over the 20-year-old.
He said on Friday that “things need to happen from a negotiation point of view above me” if any transfer was to get over the line.
And, when asked if he could reassure fans that the board will definitely get him a striker, Wilder told Yorkshire Live : “I cannot say 100% that a player will be in.”
